Walfrid Kujala was flutist and principal piccolo with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1954 to 2001 and has given recitals and master classes throughout the United States and Canada.  He was formerly affiliated with the Rochester Philharmonic and also served as principal flutist of the Grant Park Symphony. A contributing editor to the magazine Flute Talk, Kujala is the past president of the National Flute Association and the recipient of the NFA Lifetime Achievement Award and the Bienen School of Music Exemplar in Teaching Award.

PARKING

  • WKU Parking Parking permit needed only during the day on Friday, January 13.  Visitor parking permits are available at the Welcome Center located in the Kentucky Building on campus or at the Parking and Transportation Services office located on Campbell Lane.  Parking permits are not required on Friday after 4:00 PM, and parking permits are not required on Saturday.
