-
You may submit either a cassette tape or a compact

recommended, as the quality is to your advantage. Tapes must
be recorded on Side A only. Recordings must be unedited.
-
All application packets must be postmarked by November
1 and received by November 5, 2003. Applications
must be complete. (To ensure that forms
are received on time, United States Postal Service Priority Mail
(2-3 day) is recommended, but not required.) The Flute Society
of Kentucky is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
-
Completed application packets must contain:
(1) application form, (2) this signed statement of Solo Competition
Rules, (3) recording clearly marked with ONLY the name of the competition being entered,
(4) competition fee made payable to Flute Society of Kentucky, (5)
membership fee for 2004 made payable to Flute Society of Kentucky.
-
All recordings become the property of the Flute
Society of Kentucky and will not be returned. All recordings
will be coded and sent to preliminary judges. Finalists will
be notified in early December 2003.
-
Decisions of the judges will be accepted as final.
-
All finalists will work with the Festival Pianist or
provide pianists at their own expense.
-
I agree to appear at the Kentucky Flute Festival,
January 16-17, 2004 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. I am aware
that my competition fee includes registration for the festival, but
that it does not cover housing, meals or transportation.
I have read these rules and understand that I will be
disqualified if I am not in compliance with any of the above statements.
