Flute Society of KentuckyNew Music Competition
The New Music Competition features a newly-commissioned work written by Gary Schocker titled Rain and Shine. FSK commissioned this piece, and it is available for purchase from Carolyn Nussbaum Co. Anyone and everyone is eligible to enter this competition, even if you have previously won an FSK competition, regardless of age and performance level. Performers and audiences alike will enjoy this piece that begins with a lovely, slow movement (Rain), and concludes with a very exciting fast movement (Shine).
