Hello everyone,

As the summer approaches, the FSK is thinking about and looking to the 2010 KY Flute Festival.  It will be a celebration of 10 years of the FSK!!  We hope that you will make plans to join us.

Bart Feller, flutist with the New Jersey Symphony and the New York City Opera, will be our guest artist!  You will have the opportunity to hear him perform and learn from his teaching during the Festival.  You also will have the opportunity to perform for him in the master class or sign up to have a private lesson with him while he is here.  You can't miss this!

In addition to Mr. Feller's activities, there will be many other events during the Festival!  There will be clinics about flute playing or teaching, concerts, a great Exhibit Hall with flutes and flute-related items, and many other fun things to experience!!  All of the events that are a part of the Festival are included in the registration fee - including a free Festival t-shirt!

There will also be competitions that are a part of the Festival!  The details will be available soon, but to help build the excitement and your feeling of anticipation.........there will be an extra competition again this year:  a Concerto Competition!  In addition to a cash prize, the winner will be invited to perform with the Campbellsville University String Ensemble in a concert during the Festival.  The FSK is very excited to offer this opportunity during this year's Festival and we look forward to hearing everyone's entries!

How can you find out more about the Festival?  Simply click on the link "2010 KY Flute Festival."  Our website will continue to be updated as more details are finalized, so check back often.  Be sure to pay special attention to the deadlines for each event you would like to apply for - they are all different.  There is also a pre-registration deadline for the Festival - you can save $15 by pre-registering!
